water is obviously very signicant to mermaids, as it is their entire environment. water is a powerful holder of memory and emotions, making it excellent for spell work. Sea and Ocean water is ideal, but ponds, lakes, rivers, or rlly any other source can be used. spice up ur day to day life by channeling mermaid energy through the exlir of life!
sea shells can be used in a variety of ways. some of their properties include; peace, healing, protection, intuition, and spiritual/psychic growth. you can place them around ur house/room for protection (and decoration). i like to have one nearby as i do divination or include it in my spell work. think of sea shells as the communication device between or world and the realm of mermaids. the ocean has a wise and strong spirit that is embedded in each ridge on a shell. other aquatic gifts may include coral, sand, shark teeth, sea salt, etc.
it is no secret that mermaids value their apperences and especially their hair. this makes them excellent companions in glamour magic and beauty spells. be sure to call in the mermaid energy next time you attempt one of these spells and you will be greatly rewarded. now, for the important part: hair. hair holds a lot of meaning in a variety of cultures. whenever i brush or do my hair i like to really get in the mood and set up a nice environment (candles, sea shells, calm and feminine music). i'll either look in the mirror and admire my own image (as vain as it may sound, it is good to take the time and appreciate ur beauty now and again) or close my eyes and meditate.
